The Times of course can be pretty clueless. Sure the big news is that Spy founder Kurt Andersen has returned to print media. He's taken over Colors, the international magazine founded by designer Tibor Kalman.

But six paragraphs down, a buried announcement: New York's editor-at-large Simon Dumenco will be installed as the new editor of Colors. Although the Times says Dumenco was "most recently" an editor at New York, it doesn't actually confirm whether Mr. Zeitgeist is fleeing New York before an upcoming disastrous magazine sale or merely joining the ranks of the editorial multi-taskers. (Colors is, after all, a quarterly.) Does he know something we should?
