Confirming rumors about reality show contestants isn't my idea of high living. However, Average Joe is a totally good TV show, so shut up.

For those of you not paying attention (whatever), Average Joe is a dating elimination-type show, like Boy Meets Boy. The twist is: the guys are... average-looking. You know — just like in one of those Manhattan bars.

But, scandal! Is there a fix in? A reader claims: "Adam and Zach, the remaining schlubs on NBC's "Average Joe," were actually good friends before the show even taped... When a journalist friend of mine heard about this and made some phone calls, Zach admitted that he'd met Adam, but denied they were friends. However, my sources tell me otherwise."
