Regarding Monday's New York mag feature by a sex-deprived gentleman married to a (formerly) nameless magazine editor:

Says one report: "The sex-averse wife in Sean Elder's gentlemanly stroll through the adventures of his troubled glands is Peggy Northrop. She is the former spouse of Salon minor-domo Gary Kamiya, which I think explains a great deal: If connubial relations with an embarrassingly tumescent Boomer editor doesn't put you off sex for good, then nothing will. (Then again, she evidently went on to marry another embarrasingly tumescent Boomer...)"

Peggy Northrop, incidentally, is the editor of Organic Style... which is why you had no idea who she is, because you've never read it. (From their recent features: "Alanis Morissette has a new look, a new CD, a new love, but she's still rooted in environmental advocacy and passionate self-awareness." For real. Wow.)

But it's not all bad news for Mr. Elder! Writes one of his former employees: "Shocking to read this! I used to work for Mr. Elder and believe me - there was no shortage of ladies in the office who'd have been delighted to spend some horizontal hours w/ him had he been available. Unbeknownst to him, we all called him "Daddy", but all acknowledged that his wife was far too fabulous and fierce (and tiny daughter too wee and charming) for us to go messing with the sancity, etc. But yeah - damn."

We would be happy to arrange an adulterous liaison... or couple's counseling. Or both, whatever!
