William Wackermann, the VP and publisher of Details is reportedly ditching that oh-so-manly ship for a return to the Conde Nast empire. Supposedly he's going to Glamour, a far more macho magazine.

WILLIAM WACKERMANN NAMED
VICE PRESIDENT & PUBLISHER OF GLAMOUR
William Wackermann has been named Vice President and Publisher of GLAMOUR, it was announced today by Charles H. Townsend, President and CEO of Cond Nast Publications, Inc. His appointment will be effective next week.
Mr. Wackermann has been Vice President and Publisher of DETAILS magazine since April, 2000, and was an integral part of the management team that launched the magazine for Fairchild Publications after its transfer from Cond Nast Publications. Mr. Wackermann was named Magazine Publisher of the Year in 2002 by The Delaney Report and received a Media Mavens Award from Advertising Age in 2003.
Prior to joining Fairchild, Mr. Wackermann was the Associate Publisher at both Cond Nast Traveler and House & Garden. He began his publishing career at Cond Nast in advertising sales at Vanity Fair in 1994. Before joining Cond Nast, Mr. Wackerman held sales and marketing positions at Business Week and Child magazine.
Mr. Wackermann is a graduate of Villanova University. He lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey, with his wife and three children.
