Yesterday, we noted the use of the word 'doody' in a New York Post headline. Why? Because we are simple-minded children. We speculated that this headline, written by one Dawn Eden, might be the first use of the word 'doody' in this capacity. In fact, we were wrong.

On March 4, 2002, 'doody' was first used in a headline at the New York Post. Penned by Brian Angell, "Doody calls" was a stirring report on one man's battle against pigeon crap. Gawker sincerely regrets the error.
