We issued the challenge of The Best Blind Item Ever, and you responded with endearing (if disturbing) alacrity. We weren't surprised however, seeing as we all love a little drug abuse. To recap, Page Six taunted us with the case of the cracktress:
Which actress who starred in a blockbuster movie trilogy has been spotted at grungy downtown nightspots smoking crack? The soused starlet invited a fellow patron to take a hit in the bathroom, but was politely turned down when distinctive white crack smoke billowed from her glass pipe. Dazed but unfazed, she turned her attention back to her pipe and took another hit.Your frothy speculations after the jump.
You said: Basically any actress from The Matrix or The Lord of the Rings, but with a special emphasis on new mother Carrie-Ann Moss ("Now that the Matrix is over, what else is there for her to do but hit the pipe?") and the very-pregnant Liv Tyler. But for all the guesses sent in, you still found it hard to believe that either actress would be hitting the glass dick. Especially Liv — the girl may be a little spacey, but she's probably not carrying a crack baby.
You also said: Natalie Portman, star of the latest round of Star Wars, "goes to Harvard and that place will give anyone a habit." Anna Faris, star of the Scary Movie trilogies was another possibility, and a lot of you loved the idea of Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman 3 is in the works) carrying rocks. Neve Campbell was also suggested for having "that sleepy eye-doped up look."
You overwhelmingly said: American Pie's Natasha Lyonne for a billion different disturbing reasons including, "she lived with Edward Furlong." Tara Reid was, of course, a very popular guess ("Picked up a pipe to go with her crack ho implants?"). You also mentioned American Pie alums Shannon Elizabeth and Alyson Hannigan, but Tara and Natasha were definite winners in the Pie category. Plus, the item never said whether the starlet was in one or all episodes of the trilogy.
For some reason, you said: "Is Carrie Fisher back on the town?!" Also, Lea Thompson got about 10 votes.
Our favorite cracky guess: Emma Watson, aka Hermione from Harry Potter. Heh, perfect.
