Jake Gyllenhaal tells Elle magazine that Brokeback Mountain's cowboy-on-cowboy action wasn't all stolen glances on horseback or lightly-strummed prairie ballads around the campfire. He reckons that sometimes a man's gotta put on the chaps and the six-shooters and get down to the dirty business of cowpoke love:

[Heath Ledger] grabs me and he slams me up against the wall and kisses me. And then I grab him and I slam him up against the wall and I kiss him. And we were doing take after take after take. I got the [bleep] beat out of me.

Sometimes we get the feeling that everybody wouldn't be quite so overheated with anticipation about this movie if they hadn't hit the casting jackpot and wound up with, say, Sean Hayes and Andy Dick.
