Post restaurant critic Steve Cuozzo breaks this big scoop in a sidebar to the paper's hard-hitting local weather coverage:
Bitter cold weather warms the heart of a working-stiff soup lover like me. Not because soup necessarily tastes better in winter, but because when it's freezing, people buy more of it on their lunch hours.
You read it here first, folks! Cuozzo might also have broken a big scandal in his soup-sposé:
Several Hale and Hearty offerings are entrees only masquerading as soup.
