    GQ: ¿Quien es Mas Marlon?

The new issue of GQ is out, and it features a profile of Javier Bardem headlined The Nuevo Brando (above, left).

GQ's awkward embrace of Spanglish aside, we can't think of a better heir to Marlon Brando's throne than Bardem, who has clearly spent a few months at the Armand Assante Clinic for Smoldering Intensity (to paraphrase Jon Stewart).

But, the thing is, wasn't Russell Crowe the next Marlon Brando? At least that's what we read back in 1999 in... GQ (above, right). They even said "We're not kidding," so they must've meant it.

Luckily, there's enough Brando to go around.
