LOCAL TAB WEBSITE FRIGHT!

Well, it's approaching 10 AM and we're still noticing the utter fuckitude of the Post's attempt at requiring online registration; we suppose that's what happens when you let glue-sniffing chimpanzees run the show. Sure, Gawker is sympathetic to internet tech woes (our server crashes are more regular than my period), but we're a blog. As such we think it's totally fair to dub this situation a total shitstorm and elevate our local tabloid terror threat to orange.

On the bright side, it's time for a contest! Who will be the first Gawker reader to successfully register a name and password? We'll post the winner's name and, if they're lucky, hook 'em up with a compensatory rimjob from Rupert.

Update: We've been notified that there's some "planned" maintenance going on right now. Brilliant.
