Time for some closure to our internal investigation of who said what to whom about stuff related to things in respect to The Great PieGate of 2005. Last night, we reported that at the Radar party, a pie aimed at Nick Denton's head missed its target, thus only "grazing" his hair. The pictures, however, tell another story, and now 17 bloggers have died in subsequent riots.

After a lengthy inquisition, it's come to our attention that our one and only source — whose name begins with a D and ends with an "enton" — told us that only a "dollop" of pie made contact with his hair. We reported our story based on that account, but we can no longer stand by our original claim. As the photographic evidence shows, Nick Denton got a creamy facial. We regret the error, but never the spin.
