A Russian snowboarder who wrote his phone number on his helmet before his qualifying runs got so many texts and naked photos that his phone crashed.
"I've got a collection of pictures," 22-year-old Alexey Sobolev told a USA Today reporter. "It's really boring in the Olympic Village, you know?" [really?]
More than 2,000 women have texted him since Thursday's finals, when he competed on a snowboard clearly illustrated to depict the Russian feminist punk collective Pussy Riot. When asked if the board was a protest statement, he reportedly answered, "Anything is possible."
Unfortunately, his phone will be his only way of scoring this winter Olympics; he failed to qualify for the slope style finals.
