I hear that Time could name a successor as early as this week. One name for the gig that is conspicuous by it's absence is that of former NYmagazine editor, and all around Renaissance man Kurt Andersen. Could he be the dark horse in the field? John

Okay, "John." We're not sure why Renaissance man Kurt Andersen isn't included in the list of names either! After all, it's not like he lacks the "achievments in life" that would qualify him for the post.
