As svelte, breast-reduced Star Jones' Countdown to Obscurity draws tantalizingly close to its predictable and utterly thrilling conclusion, the View star still possesses enough celebrity weight to make it onto the guest list for what Page Six touted as "party of the year"— L.A. Reid's 50th birthday party at Nobu in New York. Spotting the Sixers there, Jones bravely approached them to defend her husband:
Jones, there with her adoring husband, Al Reynolds, said: "I don't care what people say about me - I have made some mistakes - but they shouldn't talk about Al. He is the kindest, most loving man, and our relationship is so strong and sacred. I can't believe people would think otherwise."
Jones must have been referring to stories in other columns that (wrongly) had her and Reynolds on the verge of divorce. She added that the couple's "daughter," their maltese Pinky, was "at a slumber party for the night."
At that moment, Reynolds, every bit the quintessential proud showdog parent, squealed in delight, relaying detail after detail of his preparations for his daughter's first official poochie pajama party. Shared Star, "He stayed up most of the night sewing Pinky a 'princess' nightie with optional tiara and removable train. He never even made it to bed! Now do you see how kind and loving my man is?"
