    A report released today by the Pew Internet & American Life Project surveyed 233 self-identified bloggers, thrilled to navel gaze for a larger cause, on the matter of blogs and blogger habits. The results weren't particularly revealing ("blogs have comments!"), but we've nevertheless provided you with some number crunching after the jump.

    77% blog for creative expression
    2% blog for Denton
    54% are under the age of 30
    34% see blogging as a form of journalism
    65% disagree
    1% are bored with this tired question
    40% never quote other sources/media
    11% post corrections
    61% rarely or never get permission to use copyrighted material
    55% write under a pseudonym
    43% use a pseudonym so their mom won't find them
    90% invite comments
    72% display photos
    70% display photos from last night's show at the Bowery Ballroom
    30% play audio links
    37% blog about life experiences
    15% blog about how wasted they were at the Annex
    11% blog about politics
    7% blog about entertainment
    6% blog about sports
    17% blog about their precious cats
    5% blog about news
    2% blog about religion/spirituality
    82% think they will still be blogging in a year
    3% have quit
    100% masturbate
    93% have been masturbating to this post
