Bothersome Reporters Finally Removed from Newsroom

Business wire service Thomson Financial has achieved the wet dream of publishers everywhere: They're replacing reporters with software. Since March, Thomson has been using computers to generate stories on earnings reports. The process has worked well enough that Thomson will be using more of the robo-journalists to create even more copy. Those few carbon-based reporters not repurposed as reactor shielding will now have "more time to think." These bots may not be as scary as some might have predicted, but they spit out their articles in 0.3 seconds. Though there have only been a few mistakes, a Thomson exec muses "We might try and write a few more adjectives into the program." Assuming they've already got "bullish" and "bearish" taken care of, may we suggest "nuclearish."
