Former Viacom President and CEO Tom Freston left the building yesterday following his not-so-abrupt canning resignation; readers reported that Viacom worker bees gathered in the lobby to send him off (according to someone who says to have spoken with a security guard, the number was around 2500 employees). Freston exited in tears and, by all accounts, it was a genuine display of emotion never experienced by otherwise abused minions. See? Corporations do have a soul, especially when they fire you.
