Hot on the heels of the AP's ridiculous citation of the word "mancation" to describe, you know, buddies going on a trip together, comes this gem, from a Washington Post review of Boston Legal:
Denny Crane and Alan Shore are perhaps the best example of postmodern, heterosexual man-love — call it a male-la tionship — currently available in the mass media. It has been a long time coming. We modern men have had to tame our Eternal Caveman, shake off centuries of reflexive homophobia, escape the mythopoetic feely-thicket of Iron Johnliness in order to finally — finally — get to this place.Again, apart from the basic ridiculousness of the whole thing, doesn't anyone understand the goddamn concept of rhyme? At the very least they could have gone with he-lationship or re-gay-tionship. Or, uh, friendship, but apparently two dudes can't do anything together now without it getting a cute new name or label. Let's call it a bro-mide.
