Now you see her, now you don't. Chris Castro, chief flack at Yahoo, is gone from the corporate comms job, judging by the internet company's management gallery . No word on the reason for her departure, but this is not a fun time to be in charge of Yahoo's press relations. The weeklies, even Newsweek, no longer have an appetite for Yahoo's cool new toys, like Flickr. Memos — Brad Garlinghouse's call for Yahoo to spread its peanut butter thicker, and more selectively — leak out to the press. And even the Wall Street Journal is airing the idea that Sue Decker, Yahoo's CFO, should take over from Terry Semel as CEO. Not that a new corporate communications boss will make any improvement.
