Reading the blog of someone who's panned your latest offering in a Publishers Weekly review probably isn't the brightest idea if you're an overly sensitive author with a penchant for nastiness, especially when any comments you leave are readily traceable to the IP address of your employer. From the original blog entry:
I read this book for Publisher's Weekly and it sucked. One note: even though a lot of upper middle class men relate to Philip Roth's characters and think they too can write a book as compelling as American Pastoral, they can't. Making masturbating on chicken liver endearing is not an accident. It's too bad you feel unfilled by your marriage, but you're no Philip Roth Michael Kun.
Kun's comment:
You are a pathetic human being who probably has never published anything of any value and never will. Your entire list smacks of jealousy.
We'd tend to agree, Michael. Your memoir may have sucked, but feel free to let us know if you need any sockpuppetry in the future.
