A tipster reports: "Huge explosion in right front of CN mothership just now. not in news yet. Probably pipe." No word yet on any injuries. At least we know that the Town Cars wait on the 43rd St. side.
UPDATE: We're hearing that the explosion was two manhole covers blowing, possibly from an "overheated grid," and that no one was injured. Which seems implausible, but okay.
