Orphan successfully adopted! Us Weekly follows up on yesterday's reports that Angelina Jolie was on her way to the Tam Binh orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City to personally collect her latest child purchase and save on exorbitant international shipping charges, revealing that the newest member of the rapidly expanding Jolie-Pitt clan is now safely in her possession. With Maddox's new little brother officially her property, Jolie is wasting no time customizing the three-year-old boy to her liking:
Vietnamese press claim that that the boy is named Pham Quang Sang and will be renamed Pax Thien Jolie. Pax means "peace" in Latin, while Thien means "heaven" or "sky" in Vietnamese.
Local press also reports that Jolie's new son cried and hid during the official ceremony, and that the actress comforted him in Vietnamese. Jolie's other adopted son, Maddox, was also present.
Our limited background in developmental psychology prevents us from ascertaining the potential damage that changing a child's name might inflict on a still-delicate, three-year-old psyche, but we're sure that Jolie has diligently researched the matter and determined that little Pax Thien won't suffer any distress that might prevent him from fulfilling the destiny preordained by his new moniker: leader of a multicultural cult whose membership is drawn entirely from the disaffected, spiritually undernourished adopted children of celebrities who succumbed to the orphan-collecting craze of the early 21st century.
