With one of the only two private walled gardens in New York City, the newly-on-the-market 92 Jane Street has caused a minor tizzy among members of the
third real estate elite. The $16.5 mil, 4-story, 5,000 square foot townhouse, after all, has a "completely transparent" back fa ade and a reflecting pond. Surely a guru must live there. The seller is dreamy Adam Gordon, the Manhattan self-storage guru whose company Madison Development
buys neglected property in poor nabes in Brooklyn and builds state-of-the-art storage. He's leaving behind the pool, the privacy and his gazing at his own reflection to revamp an as-yet-unrevealed NoLIta landmark for personal use. Elliman reps say they've shown the house a couple of times since it came on the market a few weeks ago and are in talks but haven't yet received any offers.
