Print is dead, a casualty of blogging. But somebody didn't tell Larry Genkin of Larstan Publishing, a Maryland entrepreneur who has just launched a new montly trade magazine. The name? Blogger & Podcaster. The target market, according to tagline: "aspiring new media titans." Yes, it's a new print title to celebrate those very same internet journalists who are making print, we're told repeatedly, redundant. The web celebrity on the magazine's first cover is none other than Robert Scoble, the blogger and podcaster, looking fearless and purposeful. Before Blogger & Podcaster recognized his greatness, Scoble was more of a print skeptic. When he found out that half of his journalism class was going into print, the evangelical blogger put the misguided students straight: "I told them they were smoking crack."
