WebMD peons are still in the dark about the sudden dismissal of the firm's CTO, David Gang. But the AOL veteran's departure from the health site isn't being mourned, writes one, in a comment on Valleywag:
He is no doubt extremely difficult to get along with and treats his employees like minions there to do his bidding. To get webmd's recent redesign out the door (six months late!), employees worked 60-80 hour weeks with no additional compensation or frankly without even a thank you note from Gang. Most of us know as much as you all about his termination. It was very sudden. There was no reason given. The main rumor swirling around the office is that he just didn't get along with other members of upper management. The mood at my level is extremely positive. Most people hated his guts and are happy to see him go.
