Like the whole concluding season — overseen by the writer David Rosenthal rather than the series's creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who left last year — the finale of "Gilmore Girls" on the CW lacked the momentum that had made the show so special. That's a shame because the cultural significance of the show cannot be overstated.Or can it?
