It is hard to imagine a celebration as cheesy as the annual gay pride marches through American cities. Hard to imagine — but Yahoo has managed to come up with an online reachout to the "LGBT" community that equals this month's street parades in ersatz character. Fine that gay celebrities should chat on Yahoo Answers. But the new costumes, for users to "fabu-lize" their avatars, serve to reinforce every outworn stereotype about boa-wearing queens, and laughably serious leathermen. They are, incredibly, even less imaginative than the outfits at the actual street parades.
