Now that 21-year-old Brian Stelter has gone off to become a thorn in Bill Carter's side at the New York Times, Mediabistro's looking for a new blogger to take his place on TVNewser. (Bonus: You get to work from "Soho, Baby, NY"!) What type of person are they looking for? Well, let's just say that if Mediabistro media blogger Dylan Stableford thinks he's getting someone from the Wall Street Journal to take the gig, then things at the WSJ must be worse than we thought.
mediabistro.com is seeking a writer/reporter who lives, breathes and eats TV news.
This is a full-time position. You will be covering television news and gossip for the industry's #1 blog, TVNewser.
Experience in breaking news and/or covering media for a trade publication or newspaper (hey, Wall Street Journal folks, we're talking to you!) is required.
If you've been reading TVNewser over the past few years, you'll recognize that there is an unparalleled opportunity to take the brand to the next level. We want you to share in that success.
FYI to any potential applicants: Mediabistro may seem all warm and fuzzy, but Laurel Touby is enforcing the six-month cable TV news non-compete clause in Stelter's contract, maybe so her new blogger can get a jump on him. Or at least "take that brand to the next level"! That's hot.
