Authenticity is, in general, an admirable character trait. Even the word, a five-syllable sonata for the tongue, flows nicely. But when you get the word tattooed in cursive on your foot - and when that foot is walking on East Hampton's Main Street - it becomes a completely different beast. Of the many tattoos we saw in the Hamptons this one perhaps best represents the worst. On the other hand, competition is stiff and the real answer is up to the vox populi.
