    Get some personal contact

The San Francisco American Marketing Association's monthly meeting today is titled "Relationships Aren't Virtual: In a Web 2.0 World Why Personal Contact Matters." Well, duh. Melissa could have told you that. Six Apart is hosting a data-portability meetup at their offices in San Francisco's SoMa district, and a block away, Fire Eagle is having a developer meetup at Yahoo Brickhouse with (as a lure) "a table completely covered in pizza." Today, "The Business of Web Apps: Where the Web Goes to Work" is happening right now at Microsoft HQ in Mountain View. The likes of Werner Vogels, Robert Scoble and Pete Cashmore will be there, an Xbox 360 Elite will be given away. C'mon. Just one? Bill couldn't shake out at least a couple more Xboxes as prizes? Cheapskate.
