    Online ad agency exec says Web's money firehose growing "tentative"

    jeanphilippe.jpg"At Google, 30 percent growth is slow," a Google exec told me last summer. In that case, get ready for slow, says Jean-Philippe Maheu, chief digital officer of the Ogilvy ad agency:

    Looking ahead at the digital space, is it going to grow as much as 2006 or 2007? Probably not, but it has to do with the law of large numbers. As you get to a $20 billion industry, as we did in 2007, growing at 28 or 29 percent becomes difficult, but not impossible. There is definitely a bit of tentativeness — you get that feeling just from reading the news.
