XM and Sirius radio are merging! The Justice Department said it was ok and it totally won't hurt competition to have all the satellite radio provided by one company, because they actually compete with land-based radio, or something. In honor of the deal, Sirius is starting ten thousand more stations devoted to shitty 90s rock and Howard Stern saying naughty words. [AP]
How will this affect that Bob Dylan show?

The merger was approved because Howard helped that lady find her bulldog.
I'm guessing it will still be barely intelligible.
Thanks, Clearchannel.
Ah, do the kids at gawker not have Sirius? Come on over to my place, younguns, and be prepared to have your mind blown.
I understand that Bob Dylan's show will be replaced with that of another icon, Pat Boone.
I can't imagine driving in LA without satellite radio... Will this Frankenchannel still have Sirius Disorder, BBC1, and no commercials? And will it now cost me more than my car lease payments to hear Colin Murray's sexy burr on my evening commute?
Ugh, this sucks. The FCC still has to weigh in on this, though, right?
@Wendy_Kroy: nope. apparently a done deal *(according to the "web" and almost 2 years later).
Bob Dylan will, actually, be replaced by his doppelganger, Richard Boone.
Who'll play the same music.
@KarenUhOh: I knew Richard Boone. Richard Boone was a friend of mine. And Pat Boone is no Richard Boone.
