    Search-ad buyer: Clients spending more on Yahoo, less on Google

    Search marketing firm SearchIgnite says clients spent 23 percent of their money on Yahoo search advertising in the first quarter, up from 19.4 percent in Q4. Most of those gains came at Google's expense, SearchIgnite president Roger Barnette told SAI. He said that in 2008's first quarter, clients spent less than 70 percent of their search marketing budget on Google for the first time since early 2007.
