A reader concisely reviews Madonna's new album: "If you haven't heard Madonna's new album (which dropped today) I cannot express to you how awful it is. It sounds like a tranny got to let loose with the help of her Casio. Usually there are a few decent tracks on her albums. The last one was bad, but had a few good ones. This is a new level of pitful [sic] for Madonna. This puts 'Swept Away' to shame."

Yes, but a fierce tranny! You better work!
*sigh* Sorry, that John F Page video made me nostalgic for the '80's.
Spiegelman posted a link to a "leaked" posting of "Hard Candy" and this reader is wrong. Dead wrong. Some tunes are awesome -- especially the one with Kanye where it sounds like a "Casio" was used. That 80's vintage electro-pop sound is just too groovy. Some tracks are not so good, such as the ones where Timbaland leaves his signature imprint. I can't wait for the Timbaland backlash to start . . .
Also, if it's really that bad, shouldn't it make "Swept Away" look good? Not put it to shame. Sense, anyone?
I love a hot Casio mess!
I have no idea who this singer is. Shame she doesn't get any publicity.
I heard "Trannies with Casios" is the name of the next Fatboy Slim album.
There is a line of what appears to be homeless mercenaries (and quite possibly some trannies with casios) lined up outside of Roseland today.
@extracrispy:
And a very small porn niche.
Just stopped at Virgin and listened to some of it. Madonna and Timbaland are like oil and water together. You can pick out everything each of them did on the track. Yeesh. Not good.
Seems like a "transition" album, though, so she'll bounce back with a more defined persona on the next one, maybe as a 20s flapper or something.
Funniest part of Virgin is seeing all the queens circling the (one) station with the Madonna CD, pretending they're looking at/listening to other albums. Then the homeless man finally puts the headphones down and everyone makes a mad dash for them.
