From today's stalker bag:
Saw Dax Shepard coming out of Hudson River Park at West and Charles last night with some pint-sized woman whom I assumed to be his girlfriend. He looked shorter than I had expected, and he also looked like he had a slight case of Down syndrome.
Send your politically incorrect observations about celebs you see to stalker@gawker.com, and we'll post them to the famous map, with some exceptions, such as certain L&O ubiquitards, stupid reality stars and people we just don't care about. (That's not to say we care about the people we post.)

Yes! New Gawker tag!
I find that offensive to anyone with D.S.
This guy is a REAL TARD.
he was just in character for Idiocracy II: stoopid iz az stoopid duz.
His eyes are a lil' downsy.
You know earlier today I posted a recipe for dog so when I say this is a bit tasteless (without the screamingly funny buffer) that's saying alot.
We prefer mildly retarded.
I shall call him 2%.
want to feel like YOU'RE slightly retarded? Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are MARRIED. There is no appropriate reaction.
Damn, I really should start submitting all of my Tom Skerritt sightings.
What constitutes a slight case of DS? 1/2 and extra chromosome? Wouldn't that also make him a hermaphrodite but maybe with a tiny penis like Jamie Lee Curtis?
@I Don't Get It: why are you saying her peen is small?
Don't you nitwits realize that his pint size girlfriend is none other than Gossip Girl and Veronica Mars, herself: Kristen Bell.
@arguablythemostfamous: Um... maybe like EVERYTHING ELSE in the tabs, it's for publicity and possibly (obviously), *gasp* totally FAKE?!
So commenters are in the clear to mock physical characeteristics dictated by a physiological defect but if anyone makes a fat or ugly joke it's execution time? My brother has down syndrome and reading this tag and commenters' responses leaves me at a loss. Understood that retard is often tossed around and it doesn't bother me but to use a specific condition as your refernce in humor?
Keep it classy Gawker
Kisses!
He just never snapped out of his Idiocracy role. 'Batin.
@arguablythemostfamous: That's a joke, right? About Mrs. Mariah Cannon?
@donmiguel: Oh, no. It's been reported by "sources," so it must be true>
A much better word for someone who looks like that? Syndromy.
It's quite the descriptive phrase - touch a downs. Tho I prefer using T.O.D. in public so as to avoid offending uptight randoms. And people who actually have down syndrome, I guess.
The actress, and possibly ex girlfriend of alluring Manson, Rose McGowan looks to have a "touch" of Downs, no?
@luciluce666: ha! totally true. burn.
Pint-sized! That is code word for my doppelganger, Ms. Veronica Mars! He is the lucky schmo that is dating Kristen Bell, a.k.a. the real-life Tinkerbell. (Disney missed an opportunity with that one recently with their Annie Leibovitz ads, no offense Tina Fey).
@LastCallSally:
I have to agree with you. I have a new co-worker from Mongolia and have thought about the old term for Downs, "Mongoloid" in this context. Amazing how that one word was used as slight and perfectly encapsulated both our ignorance of developmental disorders as well as xenophobia and racism simultaneously.
Wow, we really used to be cruel people. I think we are a bit above and beyond that now, I hope.
@SlickaNicka: second that
really dopey people acting in really dopey ways are fair games
genetically unfortunate people, not so much
i was in a restaurant a while ago and saw about 8 people who looked to be all the same family across several generations with a young downs man ... and he was just part of the group. my kid is 5 and typically developing as they say. i nearly cry with gratitude when i see others less fortunate than she is. i don't know how people find the courage to do what they do. i admire them
@donthateawesome:
touch of cruel?
@LastCallSally: also, the casual use of "retard" is seriously unfair to actual developmentally challenged people. i said that one day to a young woman i work with and she was taken aback; it had never occurred to her that it was a real word used to refer to real people with real issues
so ...
@if_i_only_had_a_heart:
Let's break this down(s):
1. "i nearly cry with gratitude when i see others less fortunate than she is."
Really? I hope that just came out wrong.
2. "i don't know how people find the courage to do what they do."
It's called love.
3. "i admire them"
Don't ever tell them that.
