The writers strike is truly, finally, mercifully over. Here's what it means to you, the crazed television junkie hustling madly for your next fix: Writers come back right away for Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Tina Fey hustles Saturday Night Live back on the air Feb. 23rd as host while her show 30 Rock may or may not get five episodes out before the end of the season, depending on Alec Baldwin's availability. Scripted shows that will return at all this season will come back roughly between mid-March and mid-April, including CSI, Desperate Housewives, Two and a Half Men, the Office, Grey's Anatomy and House. Heroes probably returns in the fall, torture-fest 24 not until next year. The point is, start clearing space on your TiVo yesterday. After the jump, union booster Fey's 30 Rock character takes in a lesson in hardball negotiation tactics — for managers — in an episode the WGA probably did not watch closely enough.

I wish they would clone Tina Fey and give one of her to everyone in America.
Did he get put back on "Microwave Programming?" If not, his schedule should be wide open...

Don't bother. We've got March Madness and MLB opening day to take us through spring.
Alec Baldwin is available, or at least he should be.
@richardmarxhatesmyhair: Whoops. Better.
@jimbehrle: She makes my heart sing. And my tum-tum feel funny.
I just watched this episode last night on DVD. Sigh. Need. New. 30 Rock. NOW!
ooooooh Tina, how did I miss thee? let me count the ways...

@Clarence Rosario: I KNOW! PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT TOMORROW! SQUEEEEE! It's the best valentine Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins could possibly give me.
(Sorry for getting my Deadspin in your Gawker, everybody.)
@Clare: You should mainly apologize for ostensibly being a Phillies fan.
@jimbehrle: Hear, hear! A Fey in every pot!
We finally get scripted television back and now Alec's playing hard to get.
Why am I not surprised?
@modelbehavior: He's too busy screaming at his daughter to work.
People are excited Tina Fey is coming back? She sucked the life out of SNL and ruined the formerly best show on television. I've been praying for her death the last 10 years, YET SHE LIVES!
@Clarence Rosario: Don't forget NHL playoffs!
*crickets*
My bad. Carry on.
I hearts TF. My life has been not worth mentioning since 30 Rock went away.
I hope Dr. Leo Spaceman is still part of the WG health plan.
@Fishman: How many Jimmy Falon posters do you own?
Yeah, what's in your craw, Fishman? Tina Fey is a genius, genius, super fucking genius, and although I don't think everyone in the world deserves their own Tiny Fey©, I sure do wish I had one in my pocket, telling me when to keep my funny jokes to myself, thus keeping my job.
....depending on AB's availability/sobriety?
@Fishman: Aaron Sorkin, is that you? Time to up your meds and get a f-ing grip.
@MOONYAP: @winniemc: @richardmarxhatesmyhair: Tina Fey, a genius? I have a hard time seeing that, I can't objectively describe her as any better than moderately funny. After she became head writer at SNL, most of the best on screen talent left, and I'm not sure about off screen, but I assume there was a lot of turnover with the writers as well.
The quality of the show seriously declined under her watch, you can argue otherwise if you personally think she is funny, but the viewers stayed away. Having her and Amy Poehler cackle like drunken sorority girls during Weekend Update is only funny to drunken sorority girls.
@Fishman: I guess you know alot about drunken sorority girls.
@Fishman: I think you're gonna have to get used to being an Army of One on this topic, amigo.
@Fishman: Nobody said genius, but c'mon. Head writer @ snl, then creating a hilarious hit show about being the head writer? Thats pretty badass for a female comedy nerdlinger.
@MOONYAP: WINNIEMC called her a genius, and I just don't see it. When she was named head writer at SNL there was a lot of fanfare, first female head writer at SNL, and you could pretty much watch the show decline from that point forward. The writing was lame, Ferrell and Kattan left, it just started sucking wind.
As for 30 Rock, I've never seen it, I just can't bring myself to watch that show after she ruined SNL.
@Fishman: Well, you should watch it. Its a very good show, especially for a primetime network comedy. SNL has always been too formulaic/heavily influenced by the guest-star for me, except for the commercials, which are supposed to rely on the parody format. I reccomend 30 Rock to anybody who likes to laugh, regardless of how much you resent Tina. Her character is humiliated almost every episode, so you can enjoy her pain! Alec Baldwin is simply boffo!
@MOONYAP: Based on that recommendation, I'll give 30 Rock a look; and I've always thought Alec Baldwin was good in a comic roles. Thanks in advance, I'll probably like the show.
