Washington Post-owned website Slate once set the standard for highbrow internet writing and of course many would say it still does. But how does this positioning square with today's front-page video about a bike lane that only goes for a block? It's like Slate is trying to move in on College Humor territory, or ape Curb Your Enthusiasm. Anyway, at least the self-styled "magazine" put its own signature spin on things: The one-block path isn't just a dumb bike lane, it's "The stupidest bike lane in America." Slate's video report is embedded after the jump.
