Amid the jailing of Times reporter Barry Bearak, news organizations are rightfully getting scared shitless about covering the nation of Zimbabwe, where elections are believed to not be going well for the ruling government. So CNN took the unprecedented step of concealing its reporter's identity. The BBC blurred the face of its reporter. Please Mugabe, just go.
It's times like this I realize just how good we have it here in the States.
so.....were the is fox news reporter?
I read the AP headline on Salon last night about a reporter being "in custody" and I seriously thought it was somebody in the U.S.
I'd take my chances with the living rather than face the legions of the undead in Zambia.
Mugabe steals all the land of the white farmers who rightfully own more than 50% of all the best land in Zimbabwe. Cecil Rhodes was god!
Mugabe stopped that Mark "son of Maggie" Thatcher, arms-dealer and white racist mercenary coup attempt against Equatorial Guinea. Don't you know they had the oil contracts already signed?
The new guys, whoever they are (and surely they aren't getting funded by non-Zimbabweans like Mi6), we all know much better. I'm sure they are better. I mean, at least, at playing ball with the Commonwealth of Nations (a.k.a. the British Commonwealth, 50 countries, mostly former British colonies).
@8Millionth:
Cecil Rhodes was a racist, self hating homosexual, who built his fortune and "county" on the backs of the Mashona and Matebele people, while screwing over other Europeans and the British Empire at the same time. There is a special place in Hell for his like.
