OBEY artist Shepard Fairey preemptively sued the AP for the right to use their Obama photo, free; today the AP sued him back. Shep seemed more righteous before we knew he sues other artists. But!:
We just received word that Cafe Press—the manufacturer of the "Obey Steelerbaby" merchandise that Shepard Fairey's company had sent a cease-and-desist letter about—notified the Steelerbaby people that they're in the clear: "Please note that Obey Giant Art, Inc has withdrawn their complaint regarding your shop and your images have been reinstated." See, bad PR works!
