    Time Inc. To Charge For Worthless Online Content

    Time Inc. is planning to start charging for *some* online content at magazines like Time and Sports Illustrated this year—inevitable, but also quite possibly doomed to failure! For this reason:

    I worked at Time Inc. New Media 12 years ago. Everybody was obsessed with charging for Web content back then.

    The problem we found was that Time Inc. really doesn't have that much content that's payment worthy.
