New Map Shows Plague of Gay Marriage Spreading Across Land

What gay activists say when they hope no one's listening: Winning same-sex marriage rights is just a matter of waiting for old people to die. Here's a map of which states will go gay next.

Hirsute blogger Andrew Sullivan spotted the map on the Scroll Blog, which created it using data from election predictor Nate Silver of Fivethirtyeight.com. According to Silver's data, support for gay marriage bans, passed in 30 states, is declining at the rate of 2 percentage points a year — a sure sign of a generational shift in attitudes.
