Last night at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Mariah Carey was named Breakthrough Actress for her role in Precious. Carey came on stage to accept the award from the film's director, Lee Daniels, and then delivered a bizarre-yet-endearing speech.
Watch below as Carey hams it up with Daniels before she apologizes to the crowd for being "a little bit, um..." and continues her speech like the imperfect angel she is.
It seems obvious that Carey is on something here. But, what? Was she "Sippin' Grigio, slow" like she did in Migrate, or was "Purple takin' [her] higher" like it did in It's Like That?
We'll let you decide, dahlings. But either way, she's lifted—and we like it.
