Barebacking Gay Porn Star Too Hot for Yale

This is a story about gay porn star Brent Corrigan and how Yale canceled his speaking engagement. If you don't want to read about gay porn stars or precious campus activists or Yale, stop reading now. Ha, thought you did!

Yale's LGBT Cooperative tried to book Corrigan (Every Poolboy's Dream, Cream BBoys, The Porne Ultimatum) for Yale's Pride Month. Corrigan says he was planning to deliver an "hour long lecture concerning... only The Universe really knows what." So, probably the CERN supercollider or something. But it fell through. So why were Yale undergrads cheated of their hour with a man literally thousands of other men have masturbated to? The whole thing is mired in campus politics and bureaucracy, but there are a few theories:

He was "Inappropriate."

On his blog (NSFW, surprisingly), Corrigan writes that

Various esteemed professors... and a few students were vocal enough in their opposition to my presence on campus. They didn't find me appropriate for the scholarly adults that attend Yale University.

Indeed, LGBT Cooperative Coordinator Alejandro Busillos '11, told the Yale Daily News that Corrigan's (nee, Sean Lockart) past condom-free work "might have spurred a controversy on a campus known for having groups like Community Health Educators devoted to promoting safe sex practices". But Unzipped points out that Corrigan has long sworn off his barebacking ways and is now a "major proponent of safe sex." Hell, his whole hour was probably going to be devoted to how you should only have sex with men for pay if everyone involved has taken the necessary precautions. So what's the problem?

He was greedy
Oh! But now we see that Corrigan's story is, like a condom provided to you by a vengeful lover, full of holes. Busillos '11 says that his LGBT group had made arrangements and requested the funds, but Corrigan "continued asking for more than planners thought necessary." Damn, Corrigan. You're losing touch with what made you in the first place: Horny Ivy League undergrads buying your films with daddy's credit card.

Murder!
Did you know that Brent Corrigan was at the center of a sexxxy murder scandal back in 2007? Two gay escorts murdered porn producer Bryan Kochis in a scheme to work with Corrigan. They stabbed him 28 times and set his house on fire. Corrigan wasn't implicated in the murder, but still. Maybe there's a Skull and Bones connection or something?

Anyway, Yale janitorial staff should probably say a silent prayer of thanks that Corrigan wasn't allowed to speak. Getting philosophical, he wrote on his blog

I don't fit in on an Ivy League Campus. I would likely leave an indelible impression that, try if they might, denizens of the school could never manage to wash away.

Update: We now know the real reason why Yale uninvited Corrigan: They were prudes. (The first reason.) According to a correction on the original Yale Daily News story—and emails forwarded to us by Corrigan's manager—Corrigan did not in fact ask for too much money:

Correction: An earlier version of this article, using information provided by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trangender Cooperative Coordinator Alejandro Bustillos '11, misreported one of the reasons Co-Op Pride Month organizers canceled a visit from gay porn star Sean Lockhart. According to both Lockhart's manager and the student communicating with him to arrange the visit, the event was not canceled because Lockhart's representatives requested more money than planners thought was necessary; as the article says, scheduling and fear of potential backlash against Lockhart were factors in the cancellation.

Case dismissed!
