The cover of Weezer's new album is a photo of Jorge Garcia, the actor who plays Hurley on Lost. Why? Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo explains, "This photo of Jorge Garcia... just had this amazing vibe." Oh.
AOL's Spinner music blog talked with Cuomo about the new album, which, unfortunately, has no Lost-inspired songs (although, feel free to make up your own Lost/Weezer song title puns, an activity I just abandoned after actually typing the words, "The Nuke Went Off and Left Me Here").
In fact, Cuomo has only seen the first two seasons (CONFIDENTIAL TO "RIVERS" IN L.A.: STOP THERE). But the new album is, in fact, called Hurley, and the cover is, indeed, Jorge Garcia's face, from this photo (which Spinner is asking fans to photoshop as part of a contest):
What kind of vibe do you get from this photo? Would you say you get an "amazing" vibe? The vibe I get is kind of just, "Huh."
Update: Here's the single, via GlasgowRose:
Eh. It's no "You All Everybody."
