Did you really think Katherine's arrival in Mystic Falls would be boring? The sneaky vampire did some serious damage, and as this is the first episode, she's just getting started.
Let's break down the Katherine war, battle by battle.
Round 1: Katherine v. John Gilbert
Winner: Katherine
Sure she didn't kill John Gilbert, but she did chop off his fingers and stab him. If that doesn't count as some sort of victory, I don't know what will.
Round 2: Katherine v. Bonnie
Winner: Bonnie
Being a witch has its benefits, as evidenced here by Bonnie's sneaky door opening spell. Doesn't that always happen right when you get your fangs out?
Round 3: Katherine v. Stefan
Winner: Katherine
Again, the one who doesn't get stabbed wins.
Round 4: Katherine v. Damon
Winner: Katherine
In a nice change of pace, Katherine went for an emotional kill, and KO'd Damon. More out-of-control Damon is sure to come. He's way more fun that way, anyway.
Round 5: Katherine v. Caroline
Winner: Katherine
I like Caroline a lot, but Katherine needed to go in for a kill tonight. Bitch means business, and I think she's here to stay.
