Now that Elena Kagan is on the Supreme Court bench, it's vital that she learn how to shoot a gun. That, perhaps, is why fellow Justice Antonin Scalia supposedly took Kagan to a Virginia shooting range last week.
Kagan, whose attackers called her anti-gun during her confirmation process earlier this year (although she had high praise for Orrin Hatch's award-winning revolver!), apparently went shooting with her more conservative colleague at his hoity-toity gun club last week. Was she good at shooting humans? Ah, it was skeet shooting. Was she good at shooting skeet?
According to the essentially unreliable Daily Caller:
The witnesses saw Scalia at the Fairfax Rod and Gun Club, where he is a member, around noon on Wednesday of last week. He was with a woman who was noticeably diminutive in height, like Kagan, who stands at about five feet three inches. The witnesses, who got a very close look at the pair, say that the woman was the newest Supreme Court Justice.
Scalia was bending down in order to teach Kagan how to hold the shotgun, the witnesses say, and the pair were shooting skeet.
This is step one of the Supreme Court initiation process. The second step is to politely respond to a crazy voicemail from Ginny Thomas.
