Colbert was glad to hear that a publisher is taking the 200+ instances of the n-word is used in Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn. Apparently as a child, Stephen thought Jim was "so great I wanted one of my own."
Concerning the image of Mark Twain as a rap star, Stephen says "He dropped the n-word over 200 times. That proves that Mark Twain wasn't just his pen name, it was his rap name." As for concerns about it being taught in high schools, "as long as it doesn't appear in the cliffs notes, you're all good."
