Last week, HIMYM broke the sitcom mold by killing of Marshall's Dad. This week, the crew heads to Minnesota to be there for Marshall at his father's funeral. Raise your hand if you found yourself teary-eyed during the episode...
The majority of the episode revolved around Marshall's obsession over his father's last words. Throughout the episode, he keeps remembering what he thinks is the last time he spoke to his Dad. He remembers how cheesy everything was, from a sort-of racist shout from the street to his suggestion of renting Crocodile Dundee 3. Finally, he discovers a voicemail.
We have to give credit to Robin, who managed to be perhaps the best help of all—the enabler.
So what did you all think? Did the show do a decent enough job tackling a dark subject?
