"I'm not one of those... kids who perhaps graduated college and their parents get them a passport and a backpack and say, 'Go off and travel the world,'" Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin told CBS News anchor Katie Couric in 2008. But that was then! This is now: Sarah Palin is going to India in March. Someone get her a passport and a backpack!
Palin will be giving a speech called "My Vision of America" at conference sponsored by Indian magazine Today. (Other speakers include Germaine Greer and Mohamed ElBaradei.) And then she'll go backpacking across the subcontinent, studying at ashrams and learning all about the crazy journey called life! We hope. And then she'll write her own white album! Maybe.
