Yesterday we told you that Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice and bitch-destroying anger-nerd David Prosser allegedly grabbed Justice Ann Walsh Bradley by the neck with both hands during an argument in her office. Now Bradley's come forward to say that the rumors are true.
"The facts are that I was demanding that he get out of my office and he put his hands around my neck in anger in a chokehold," she told the Journal Sentinel about the incident, which reportedly occurred on May 13 (a most unlucky Friday for Lady Justice!). According to one source, the justices were spending that afternoon preparing to announce their decision on controversial collective bargaining legislation when Prosser allegedly began shittalking (in legal parlance) Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson, who is not his BFF by any means. And Bradley was like, "you just shut the hell up right now about Shirley, she's my girl," and Prosser was all, "harrumph," and then as he was leaving put his hands around Bradley's neck in a manner described by a source as "in no way playful."
Another source paints Bradley to be the aggressor, with fists raised and Prosser blocking her in self-defense. Supposedly Bradley claimed in that moment that Prosser had choked her, prompting a third justice to remark, "you were not choked." The mystery! The drama! The intrigue! It is almost too much.
Prosser's withholding comment until the issue's been reviewed. Meanwhile, let's take a closer look at this photo, which shows him looming toward Bradley and giving her a most ominous look, like he wants to ... I don't know, choke her with both hands or something? Of course, it's possible that the photographer caught him mid-sneeze, so we shouldn't jump to any conclusions. Innocent until proven guilty, or whatever.
